Lauren Southern Faces Twitch Ban For ‘Hate Speech’ About Transgenderism

YouTuber and Twitch streamer Lauren Southern found herself unable to access her Twitch handle on September 20 after she was banned from the platform.

Lauren is a political activist and a best selling author as well. She owns a YouTube channel with over 600k subscribers.

He best selling book “Barbarians: How The Baby Boomers, Immigration, and Islam Screwed my Generation” was release in 2016 and it has given her a recognition of a political controversial activist on the Internet.

Reason For The Ban

Taking to her official Twitter handle, Lauren explained the reason behind her Twitch Ban. She wrote “Well. I just got banned off Twitch. Lol.”

In a separate tweet, the political activist said that she was banned for ‘hate speech’ due to the ‘title’ of her stream.

“So looks like it’s a temporary suspension for ‘hate speech,’” she said. “I was invited on a panel discussing whether Transgenderism is a mental illness, and I just put the panel discussion topic in the title of my video.”

When Will Lauren Southern Return On Twitch?

While it is confirmed that Lauren Southern has not been permanently banned from Twitch, it still remains to be seen when will she be allowed to stream again.

The date of Lauren’s Twitch ban coincided with the Canadian federal election day. In 2015, Southern ran as a Libertarian Party candidate in the Canadian federal election! What a coincidence for someone who identifies as a political activist!

Twitch has strict policies regarding hate speech and violation of community guidelines that can result in a streamer getting banned.

As a general rule, Twitch permanently deletes the channel after three bans. However, famous streamer xQc has crossed that limit as he has faced five bans on Twitch so far in his career.
