Tom Holland’s boxing skills are impressive in a new training video for Spider-Man

Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man, has shown off his impressive boxing talents in a new training video. Holland’s breakthrough role was in J.A. Bayona’s The Impossible, featuring Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts, in 2012. Despite the film’s positive reception and Oscar nomination, Holland did not become a household name until his role as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War.

Many fans have been waiting for Spider-Man to join the MCU, as he is one of the most popular Marvel heroes. In February 2015, Marvel and Sony agreed to include Spider-Man in the MCU, and Holland was cast as Peter Parker later that year. Holland was an excellent fit for the role because of his gymnastics and dancing background.

Because he was only 20 years old in 2016, he was able to credibly portray a high school student, something that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s films failed to do. Like most MCU actors, Holland bulked up for the part and has continued to workout for his several Marvel appearances.

Holland is seen boxing with a trainer in a new video from ESPN Ringside. Despite the fact that the video had recently resurfaced, this training session took place in July of 2021.

Due to his involvement in the MCU and Uncharted, Holland has been in fantastic shape over the last few years. Filming on the Spider-Man sequel finished in March, and reshoots began in August. Holland was most likely practising for more scenes in Spider-Man: No Way Home when this video was shot in July.

While the above video provides a fascinating glimpse into Holland’s workout routine, it’s unlikely that the actor would post any more workout videos in the near future. Holland hasn’t been cast in anything since Uncharted, so he might be taking a break from the punching bags.
