The Vampire Diaries Spin-Off Series ‘The Originals’ Set To Leave Netflix UK In September

The famous and highly revered American series titled The Originals is set to leave from Netflix in the United Kingdom in the first week of September 2021.

It was released as a spin-off to the widely loved The Vampire Diaries. The show was broadcasted on The CW between 2013 and 2018 from Julie Plec.

5 Seasons And 92 Episodes

The Originals featured Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Claire Holt, Phoebe Tonkin and Charlies Michael Davis in pivotal roles that the audience loved.

All the five seasons of The Originals, ie – 92 episodes are scheduled to leave Netflix on September 1. It basically means that your last chance to either watch or download the show is August 31st.

Why The Departure From Netflix?

The show exits Netflix exactly three years after the fifth season was added to Netflix back in September 2018.

The reason behind the exit of the show is that Netflix UK seems to have bought show rights for the show’s lifetime and and extra period of 3 years.

In November 2020, Netflix UK also lost the Vampire Diaries series due to similar reasons.

Will The Originals Return?

However, in February 2021, the show was up and running again on Netflix in full.

The Vampires story gives some sort of hope to the fans of ‘The Originals’ that although their favorite show will be exiting from Netflix on September 1, it may return at some point in the future.
