100 Gecs Tease New Album ‘10000 Gecs’
100 gecs have recently teased their upcoming new music as they took to social media to announce a new album, 10000 gecs.
There has not been much information about the project however it comes after the band announced a North American 10000 gecs tour. In their announcement, the experimental duo shared that the album would be coming to a “theater near u”.
The upcoming album will be a follow-up of their 2016, 100 gecs Ep and 2019’s 1000 gecs. They will continue the naming convention after last year’s 1000 gecs and the Tree of Cubes. The last album had been released in July 2020 and included collaborations with Charli XCX, Rico Nasty, Fall Out Boy and many others.
The bandmates have been busy ever since with separate material. Dylan Brady had produced a 10th-anniversary remix of Rebecca Black’s Friday in February. Laura Les, on the other hand, had released a solo single named Haunted back in March.
The duo also remixed Linkin Park’s classic ‘One Step Closer’; as part of the 20th-anniversary celebrations of the nu-metal band’s debut album, ‘Hybrid Theory’.
