Wizards of Waverly Place Reunion! Selena Gomez and David Henrie’s New Film Project

Selena Gomez is not here to stop. After back to back announcements about her beauty line, her cooking show, and her comedy series, she has made another announcement.

Her, Wizards of Waverly Place co-star, David Henrie had previously teased Selena having an idea for their reunion. However, on Sunday, the duo shared the teaser of their forthcoming project. Selena and David shared a socially distant clip on their social media handle teasing fans about a possible reunion.

In the clip, the duo was separated by a grass wall as David panned sideways to show Selena behind the wall. David posted the clip captioning ‘hmm @selenagomez’, while Selena did the same without giving us any major clues or hints about their project.

Wizards of Waverly Place starred Henrie and Gomez alongside Jake T. Austin as three wizard siblings whose parents own a sandwich shop in New York City. The Disney Channel show premiered in 2007 and lasted four seasons.

David Had Teased a Possible Reunion Last Year

Back in 2019, David spoke about hoping to work with his co-star, Selena again. He mentioned in one of his interviews that he and Selena had a reboot. The actor said it is not formal but they sit and talk about the project all the time. He said, “We have a whole take. We have a whole thing.”

David added that the reboot starts with the Russo family divided after the show’s finale aired in 2012. The finale showed Selena’s character, Alex Russo, chosen as the family wizard. David also had a mini-reunion with his other co-stars, Jennifer Stone and Gregg Sulkin, from the show.

The trio had gotten together for Sulkin’s YouTube channel Gregg and Cameron. He runs the channel with Cameron Fuller. The actor went back in time to remember the series and played a game with his co-stars.

While Jennifer played Gomez’s on-screen BFF Harper Finkle, Gregg portrayed Gomez’s TV love interest Mason Greyback.

Selena Makes Back-to-Back Announcements

Selena recently announced her cooking show with HBO Max called Selena and Chef. The show premieres on August 13. She also made an announcement with her beauty line, Rare Beauty about its launch in September.

Rare Beauty and Selena both made the announcement last week that the products will launch on September 3rd. The website is updated with the missions and aims of the brand. It has the option to sign up as well so that people can receive more information about the launch.

The singer in addition made an announcement about returning to television with a comedy special with Steve Martin and Martin Short. The show will be called Only Murders in the Building. The series follows three strangers (Martin, Short, and Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime — and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one.

Selena had explained her absence from social media and promised exciting things lined up which she wanted to share. And as promised, we are getting back to back announcements from the Rare Beauty founder.
