Will Rihanna Be A Part Of Black Panther 2?

Rihanna’s fans think that she will be a part of Marvel’s superhit franchise, Black Panther. When fans did a little bit of research over the cast of Black Panther 2 on Google, they found something rather interesting.

Fans were excited after searching for Black Panther 2’s casting on Google which included RiRi on the list. Don’t believe us? Search for yourselves. The singer was a part of the long list of the original castmates of the franchise. Black Panther included Michale B. Jordan, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira and more were all reprising their roles.

However, there is also Rihanna’s picture on the casting which shocked her fans. There has been no confirmation about the news but there have also been no claims about false rumors. So maybe we can stay happy for a while?

Either the singer will be a full-fledged part of the cast or she will be making a cameo according to rumors. The second installment of the superhit movie is reportedly releasing in 2022.

Unless Rihanna’s reps or the team for the sequel confirms the news, a Google search is not enough. However, her fans were so excited about the little information that they found that they took to social media to express their feelings.

“Is anyone gonna talk about how Rihanna is on the cast for BLACK PANTHER 2 like HUHHHHH,” one fan tweeted, sharing a screenshot of the Google search, while another fan wrote, “So why am I jussst finding out that Rihanna is listed as a cast member in Black Panther II .”

Other users wanted to take the rumor a step further as they discussed the role the singer could possibly play. Some said she would play Princess Zanda who rules the African nation of Narobia in Marvel Comics. Back in 2019, Mike Adam had tweeted, “Marvel is allegedly eyeing #Rihanna for a role in the upcoming #BlackPanther sequel!!! @rihanna would play Princess Zanda, the ruler of Narobia if hired.”

Few other fans speculate that the singer could play Storm. The character marries and then divorces Black Panther in the Marvel comics. “Mmm if Rihanna is really in this I wonder if she will play Storm. In the books storm and Black Panther got married so Storm being in there somewhere would not be weird at all. (but then there are soooo many roles she could be playing I just think Storm would be cool),” one fan tweeted.

Another one of her fans wrote, “Rihanna must be playing Storm if she’s in Black Panther 2.” According to reports, Marvel Studios reacquired the rights to the X-Men characters called Storm.

The iconic character of Black Panther was played by late actor Chadwick Boseman. Fans also took notice as he was missing from the Google search for the casting of the movie. The brilliant actor lost his life in August this year before filming the sequel. He was battling colon cancer as he secretly had a four-year treatment for the same.

If the speculation and the Google search are true, then this will mark Rihanna’s debut acting gig. She had previously played the role of Kofi Novia with Donald Glover in Guava Island, released back in 2019. The singer has also bagged big-budget roles like Ocean 8 and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
