Wells Adams and Sarah Hyland Give Update on Their Wedding

Wells Adams and Sarah Hyland have put a hold on their wedding due to the pandemic.

On Monday’s episode of The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons–Ever!, the couple revealed that they have brought the wedding planning to a halt. They revealed that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the planning had to be stopped.

“No plans as of right now. We’ve put all planning on hold,” Hyland explained. She said that her family is in the East Coast so they can’t fly out here. Hyland also said because of her health risks, they want to be as safe as possible.

Sarah Hyland has been very vocal about her health. She suffers from kidney dysplexia, which makes her immunocomproised and this leads to higher risk for contracting the virus.

Wells and Sarah got engaged last year in July. Wells Adams was a part of The Bachelorette, in the season with JoJo Fletcher. Sarah was a huge fan of The Bachelor. She was the one who made the first move and tweeted about Adams after watching him on Fletcher’s Men Tell All special. Wells messaged her personally and they started seeing each other in 2017.

Last year, Adams revealed that he and Sarah are taking their time to plan the wedding. He said that everyone is invested in what happens next. Adams explained when they started dating everybody kept asking when they are moving in. When they moved in everybody asked when are they getting engaged, he said. Adams elaborates saying it is not about the next thing, it is about the journey.

“I’ve said it before, everyone is so invested in the next thing. Like, when we were dating, everyone was like, ‘When are you moving in?’ And when we moved in, everyone was like, ‘When are you going to get engaged?’ …It’s like, hold on, don’t forget that the destination isn’t what it’s about, the journey is what’s fun,” Adams said.

He went on to explain at the time, that he just got engaged and he has never been engaged, so he wants to enjoy it while he can. “We’re, like, a month into being engaged and I’ve never been engaged before and I assume I’m never going to be again, so I kind of want to just enjoy this little time,” Adams added.

The Bachelor star revealed that Sarah is going to have Pinterest boards and vision boards. “So, I think we’re just holding off on that,” he explained.

Adams also clarified that fans should not expect him to get married on television. Last month, Sarah joked about wanting to elope with Wells in a local courthouse. As for quarantining together Wells revealed that it has allowed him and Sarah to spend so much time together.

On questioning him about having a Zoom wedding, Wells denied it straightaway. He revealed if the pandemic lasts really long, then they will have a small backyard wedding. ‘No. I would not do that. If [the pandemic] lasts really, really long then I think we might do like a really small backyard thing, but that’s probably not going to happen.’

We hope that this all gets over and we get to see Sarah and Wells walk down the aisle.
