Veteran Bollywood Legend Amitabh Bachchan Gets His Second Dose Of COVID Vaccine

Actor Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday said he received the second and final dose of the novel coronavirus vaccine.

The 78-year-old, who took his first jab last month, took to Instagram to give his fans and followers a follow-up update.

‘Second One Is Also Done’

“Dusara bhi ho gaya! (The second is one also done) Covid one, not the Cricket one ! Sorry sorry, that was a really bad one..” Amitabh captioned a picture of him receiving the shot.

In April, the veteran actor said all eligible members of his family, except actor’s son Abhishek Bachchan, received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Abhishek had been shooting for his upcoming comedy performance in Dasvi.

COVID Infections In The Bachchan Family

Last year, Amitabh, Abhishek, actress and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and her granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan were all tested for coronavirus.

On March 1, the government launched a nationwide campaign to vaccinate all people over the age of 60 and those between the ages of 45 and 59 on disease mortality.

Another Bollywood Celeb Who Got Vaccinated

Television personality and the fitness and yoga Queen Malaika Arora has also taken the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. The actor had earlier fought Covid-19 in September 2020 and had isolated herself at home.

Taking to her Instagram, Malaika posted a photo of herself taking a jab at Lilavati Hospital wearing a stunning dress along with wearing a red mask.

She captioned her post, “I took the first dose of the COVID vaccine. Because #wereinthistogether ! Lets go warriors, lets win this #WarAgainstVirus. Dont forget to take yours soon !( n a special mention to our amazing frontline workers , who were so caring n vigilant n went about doin everything with a smile) THANK YOU (and yes I am eligible to take the vaccine).”

Just last month, actor Salman Khan had claimed he had received the first vaccine. Taking to Twitter he confirmed the news shortly after the release of a video of his visit to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai online. “I took my first vaccine today ….” he wrote in a tweet.
