Twitter Trolls Jake Gyllenhaal & Call It ‘Redemption’ As Red (Taylor’s Version) Releases

Taylor Swift had previously indicated that Red (Taylor’s Version) will be released on November 19, but it will be released a week earlier; causing Swifties to erupt with delight on the Internet.

The singer’s former partner Jake Gyllenhaal has been the subject of rumours that the re-recorded version of the album is about him. The fans went crazy because they thought a few songs would make fun of the Hollywood star.

Despite the fact that the 31-year-old singer has been chastised for composing sad and heartbreaking songs about her ex-boyfriends; she continued to express her thoughts on the re-recorded version. In 2010, the ‘Blank Space’ singer dated Gyllenhaal for a short time.

Swift also released a song called ‘All Too Well’ in 2012, which Swifties believe is about Gyllenhaal. “And I, left my scarf there at your sister’s house/ And you’ve still got it in your drawer even now,” Swift sang in the song. As the release of Red (Taylor’s Version) approached social media users mercilessly mocked Gyllenhaal.

Taylor Swift said on Instagram that she will release a short film for the song, All Too Well; which will reportedly shed light on her connection with the ‘Zodiac’ star. I Bet You Think About Me, a track on the album, also appears to be a hit at the actor. “You can’t help who you fall for, and you and I fell like an early spring snow/But reality crept in, you said we’re too different,” the song’s lyrics say. “Laughed at my dreams” and “rolled your eyes at my jokes,” she sings later in the song.

Swift’s earlier chart-topping singles from the original Red, like ‘We Are Never Getting Back Together’ and ‘I Knew You Were Trouble,’ are still seen as a dig at Gyllenhaal. The singer stated a few months ago on Twitter that the re-recorded version of the album would have 30 tracks; instead of the original’s 16.

She also wrote a lengthy article regarding the re-release of her record; in which she discussed how musically and thematically, ‘Red’ resembled a heartbroken individual. “I’ve always said that the world is a different place for those who have lost their hearts. It moves at a different pace and on a different axis, at a different speed. Time skips backwards and forwards fleetingly”.
