Twitch Streamer Gaules Unbanned After Almost 10 Hour Suspension

Alexandre ‘Gaules’ Borba is one of the most popular names of Twitch. Recently, the streamer faced a ban on the platform while he was midway of one of his NBA co-streams. The cause of the suspension was not known.

In October 2021, Gaules surpassed Twitch streamer xQc to become the most-watched streamer of the platform with 18.1m hours. xQc, on the other hand was placed second with 18m hours watched.

With the rising popularity on Twitch, Alexandre Gaules is now amongst the streamers that Twitch will keep a close watch on. While some small streamers might be able to getaway with community violations, the big streamers are always on the radar of Twitch.

Why The Ban?

During Gaule’s NBA co-stream on November 4, the ban hit and his channel was no longer visible to the fans. Reacting to his shocking and surprise suspension from Twitch, the streamer took to Twitter and posted a classic Brazilian meme without any caption.

He later said that he had been in contact with the Twitch support team and they have assured that his Twitch channel would be back up and running ‘in a few hours’.

How Long Did The Ban Last?

Gaules surprise ban lasted for almost 10 hours before his Twitch handle was restore. To be precise, the ban was for 9 hours, 51 minutes, and 25 seconds.

The ban was lifted on November 5, 2021. Gaules has more than 60,000 active subscribers on the platform and more than three million followers. His success story is a spectacular one and he continues to climb the ranks of Twitch streamers with each passing day.
