
Tom Selleck opens up on why he quit Magnum P.I
Actor Tom Selleck first rose to fame on the crime drama Magnum P.I, which ran on CBS from 1980 to 1988 and was without a doubt one of the hottest stars of his era.
In an interview with a leading magazine, Selleck shared, “I quit ‘Magnum,’ not because I didn’t like it or I was tired of it, I was tired from it. And I wanted a three-dimensional life because I didn’t have one.”
Usually a very private person, Selleck opened up and shared that
he felt like he wasn’t cut out for the Hollywood lifestyle but rather it’s his family he treasures, his wife of 33 years, Jillie; their 31-year-old daughter Hannah; and Kevin, his 54-year-old son with first wife Jacqueline Ray.
Emphasising on the same, the actor added, “My family and my ranch keep me sane.”
On the work front, the ahctor stars in another CBS drama “Blue Bloods” which is currently in its tenth season.
