In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker is faced with one of his most difficult tasks ever. Parker enlists Doctor Strange (Cumberbatch) to wipe the world’s collective memories of him after his identity is disclosed to the public after being framed for the death of Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhal) during the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Parker, on the other hand, caused the spell to fail, bringing villains from prior Spider-Man movies from all around the multiverse into the primary Marvel Cinematic Universe. Spider-Man: No Way Home is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious Marvel films yet, and a major undertaking for its actors, with director Jon Watts comparing it to Avengers: Endgame.

Holland spoke to fans at an event honouring the release of the latest teaser, which Screen Rant was also present at, in a YouTube video shared by Collider Extras. Holland admitted to crying up when watching the latest trailer on stage in Los Angeles. Holland then reflected on his time as Spider-Man, a role he has played since he was 18, before declaring that Spider-Man: No Way Home is “the most cinematic and theatrical superhero film ever filmed.” Holland, who was proud of the labour that went into the picture, told the audience that seeing their passion meant the world to him and thanked them for their commitment.

Holland also talked about how playing Spider-Man helped him gain confidence, saying in an interview that playing the superhero taught him to stand up for himself and enjoy his celebrity, as well as gaining confidence in the role.

Holland was cast in the role in 2015, making his first appearance in Captain America: Civil War and acting in three further films before No Way Home. Holland considers the film to be the conclusion of Peter Parker’s story, which began in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and claims that he and the rest of the cast approached it as such.
