This actor to replace Rishi Kapoor in Deepika Padukone starrer The Intern remake?

The late actor Rishi Kapoor was supposed to be a part of Deepika Padukone starrer remake of the Hollywood film The Intern!

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone had earlier announced that she will be working in the remake of the Hollywood film The Intern. Sharing the poster, she had revealed the details. The late actor Rishi Kapoor was supposed to be a part of the project. He was going to play the role originally played by Rober de Niro in the film. However, the makers are considering to re-cast now.

According to a report of Bollywood Hungama, the producers are exploring other options, now that Rishi ji is gone. A source told the portal, “Deepika plays the female lead in this story set in the fashion world. For the intern’s role, the choice was between Amitabh Bachchan Saab and Chintuji (Rishi Kapoor). Deepika had already done a fabulous film Piku with Bachchan Saab. She had for long wanted to share screen space with Chintuji. And the remake of The Intern was the perfect opportunity.”

With Rishiji’s demise somebody else need to step in to fill his role. So, is it going to be Amitabh Bachchan. We guess, we will just have to wait and watch out for the official announcement.

Talking about the film, Deepika Padukone will be the leading actress. She is also co-producing the film.
