The Witcher 2 Poster Teases New Details About Henry Cavill’s Geralt

The poster for The Witcher 2’s poster has been released. The Netflix series is based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy novel series, which has also been converted into a series of popular computer games.

Henry Cavill plays Geralt, a magically imbued monster hunter known as a Witcher whose fate is closely tied with Crown Princess Ciri. Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra also star in the show, which has already been renewed for a third season.

New Details About Henry Cavill’s Geralt

The second season of The Witcher has been highly awaited by fans. The first season premiered in December 2019, however, due to pandemic delays and star Kristofer Hivju testing positive for COVID-19, production on the second season was stopped.

More crew members tested positive after filming started several months later, severely delaying the series. Cavill also suffered a leg injury during the shoot, but the crew persisted and finished the second season in April of this year, with a debut date planned for December 17, 2021.

Netflix has published a stunning new poster now that the season is fully finished and getting set for its broadcast. Lauren S. Hissrich, the show’s creator, tweeted the poster on Twitter, adding, “Designed to kill. Protected by fate. You already know Geralt as the best monster hunter on the continent; now it’s time to peel back the layers of witcher armor and discover a new side of the White Wolf. On December 17th, join us.” The design is a simple character poster with Geralt in his helmet, but observant fans may find details in the clothing and setting that hint at what fans may expect from The Witcher season 2.

Ciri and Geralt will train together at the witcher refuge Kaer Morhen in Season 2 of The Witcher. Kim Bodnia joins the cast as Vesemir, an experienced witcher who also serves as Geralt’s father figure. Vesemir’s story was told in the animated film The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, which debuted on Netflix in August.
