Yellowstone season 4 has a new trailer, revealing that the Kevin Costner-led Western drama will launch this fall on the Paramount Network. The series, created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson of Sicario, follows the Dutton family, owners of America’s greatest ranch, as they deal with issues with nearby Native reservations and national parks, as well as family drama. Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, Luke Grimes, Danny Huston, and Josh Lucas join Costner in the series’ cast.
The storylines in 2018 to negative reviews for its melodramatic storytelling, although it rapidly became Paramount Network and its predecessor Spike’s most-watched original scripted show. The series was repeatedly renewed due to consistently excellent ratings, and it has already gotten steadily better critical reviews and larger viewership numbers. The first trailer for Yellowstone season 4 was released by Paramount Network just over a year after season 3 began. The video indicates that the Western series will return this fall, as well as revealing the fates of the Dutton family members selected for assassination. Take a look at the trailer below:
Though the teaser may serve as a reminder of what happened in the season 3 finale, including the attempted bombing of Beth, there was one intriguing tease for Yellowstone season 4: Costner’s John Dutton is still alive, at least for now. Things were looking bad when he last appeared on screen, having taken a couple rounds to the chest, so the trailer’s assurance that he’s still living when Hauser’s Rip Wheeler appears on screen should come as a welcome relief. When the series returns later this year, only time will tell if Rip can get him to medical help in time.
