The Office Trends As Fans Are Sad The Show Is Leaving Netflix
The Office began trending on social media as fans expressed their sadness that it will leave Netflix. The show will leave the streaming service and move to Peacock.
The comedy show was a success when it first aired back in 2005 and ended in 2015. It used to air on NBC, however, due to streaming services, it became more of a cultural phenomenon. The show was based on the UK comedy series with the same name as it follows the employees of regional paper company Dunder Mifflin.
It is a documentary crew that covers their day job and everyday lives. The show featured various characters like the inappropriate manager, Michael Scott played by Steve Carell and Dwight Schrute played by Rainn Wilson.
The Office has since become the most loved American comedies of all time. It has been available on Netflix for years which also increased its popularity. The show has been in the top ten of Nielsen’s streaming ratings as it keeps proving how remarkable it is. However, starting tomorrow, The Office will only be available on Peacock.
The free version of Peacock will only let fans watch the first two seasons of the show while Peacock Premium subscribers will get the rest of the series. As The Office leaves Netflix, fans have taken to social media to share their sadness about its departure. For some fans, the show was the one thing to comfort people despite the crazy year.
The fans were upset just last week during Christmas as Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse left the streaming service. This only makes it clearer how dependant people have become on Netflix to comfort themselves during stressful times. However, Peacock is going to ensure that The Office fans be pleased with the new streaming service.
The latest streaming service also features things like playlists and extra-long episodes with never-seen-before footage. However, not many people have the service right now and might not be willing to sign up for watching The Office only.
