On May 5, Disney+ announced that their highly awaited Loki series would premiere earlier than expected. The upcoming series will now premiere on Wednesday, June 9 instead of Friday, June 11 as shown in the latest teaser below.
Disney+, of course, had Loki himself. Tom Hiddleston is the one who announced the date move. “Hello there. Hello, my name is It’s me, Tom “While interrupting a montage of Marvel superheroes, the Thor actor said. “Please accept my apologies for interrupting. It’s just that I’ve found Loki seems to be left out of these long superhero montages.”
Tom went on to say that Loki is “incredibly heroic himself,” as he proceeded. Tom posted some big TV news after mischievously adding “cunning” and “charming” to his praise of Loki. With a grin, he said, “I could go on.” “But why don’t I just demonstrate it to you? Wednesdays have replaced Fridays as the most famous day of the week.”
This news comes less than a month after Disney+ debuted the first trailer for the upcoming Marvel series. We can’t say we’re shocked by the date shift, given that the new series has a lot to do with time.
According to the trailer, Loki follows Thor’s troublesome adopted brother (Chris Hemsworth), who is charged with repairing a broken reality. Loki also stars Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant, in addition to Tom.
