The Wheel Of Time television series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in 2021. The show is based on Robert Jordan’s (James Oliver Rigney Jr.’s pseudonym name) fantasy novel series. The series consists of twelve books, the last of which was finished by Brandon Sanderson after Jordan’s unexpected death.
Winter Dragon, a pilot that was stopped in its tracks owing to complications with Jordan’s estate, was FXX’s earlier attempt at adapting the story for television in 2015.
The Amazon adaptation, which has been granted permission by the estate, is set to premiere in 2021. With a video from The Wheel of Time’s official Twitter today, the network revealed the release date. Filming on the show wrapped in May, and it has already been renewed for a second season.
