Taylor Zakhar Perez Flirts With Costar Joey King Amid Dating Rumors

Kissing Booth 2 alum Taylor Zakhar Perez has already shut down rumors about him dating his co-star, Joey King. However, both the actors have gone above and beyond to meet each other during the pandemic which suggests something otherwise.

Taylor took to his social media account to post a shirtless picture of himself. He also posted a video of himself swimming amid a mountain landscape. The actor captioned the picture and wrote, “Packed some sammies and hit the road”.

Joey took to the comments of the picture to express her concern and wrote, “That looks cold”. To which Taylor commented back asking her to warm him up.  “@joeyking warm me up?” he asked.

The co-stars of Kissing Booth 2 sparked dating speculation after the release of their movie in July. In the sequel, they portray Marco Peña and Elle Evans, high school students who have feelings for each other despite her long-distance romance with Noah Flynn (played by the actress’ ex Jacob Elordi).

The duo was rumored to be dating when both of them took the coronavirus test so that they could meet each other. Joey and Taylor went on a vacation as well, days after her birthday. Taylor took to Instagram to wish Joey in the sweetest way and wrote he could write about her all day.

The actor added,  “She is the reason I joined the KB2 family, she welcomed me with open arms and love, she supported me, she pushed me, she made me laugh (like pee my pants laughter and had to check my underwear), she inspired me to be a better actor, she shared her family with me, THE LIST GOES ON. Grateful for you forever.”

“I Heart You, T” – Joey

Joey responded to the heartfelt post and said she cannot imagine her life without him. She added, “I heart you, T.” In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he said he would do anything for Joey because he loves her. However, refuting the rumors he said, “We’re not dating. I’ll end it with that.”

The actor explained the connection he shares with Joey and said that, they kind of hit it off in South Africa. He said they had dinner together and cooked for each other. Taylor said, “We just became a kind of like the best of friends.”

In another podcast, Taylor teased fans saying people are trying to make something out of it but it’s fine and interesting. On the “Chicks in the Office” podcast, he added, “I mean, hey, I would love to be dating Joey King, she’s dope. …”

The actor also added that he is a huge fan of dating a friend. Taylor said, “I’m a huge fan of dating your friend, someone that you know and you trust because that’s where it all starts right. For me, non-sexual intimacy is so much more important to me at first. I’m all about the sensitive stuff.”

Joey dated Jacob for over a year before breaking up in 2018. In an interview with ET, Joey says everybody wants to know what your business. She continues saying it is interesting that people think you owe them an explanation but she says she understands.

The actress says she has gone through some stuff publicly and privately and it’s all about finding balance. She continued, “And it can be brutal, but you know happy endings do come to those who are patient.”

“It Just Doesn’t Affect The Trajectory Of My Life”

Meanwhile, for Jacob, he admits to being bothered initially that people would pay so much attention to his dating life. He says just the fact that somebody he does not know, knows his name is disembodying. But he says it has nothing to do with him.

Jacob explains to ET, “Imagine the store around the corner from where you are now. Whatever people are talking about is not your business, it’s kind of how it feels. Unfortunately, it just has my name involved in it but it literally has nothing to do with me. It just doesn’t affect the trajectory of my life. So I just kind of ignore it.”

Jacob has sparked romance rumors with Euphoria co-star, Zendaya. They were spotted hanging out together and sharing a kiss.

However, Jacob and Joey have people talking about their relationship once again. In Kissing Booth 2, Jacob’s character Noah and Joey’s character Elle, are still going strong. However, in the film, it appears they are struggling as they try to make their long-distance relationship work.

On top of that, Elle sees her friendship with her BFF, Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney) changing. Her character also develops a crush on a new classmate named Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez), causing all sorts of chaos and confusion in her life.

On being asked if the couple is going strong in the movie, Joey said she doesn’t know. She says her character always used to say that in the movie but things change and things happen. The actress says she does not know where their journey is going but she is excited to see Elle and Noah again. Joey says,  “I think Noah and Elle are iconic and I think it’s exciting for fans to be able to see them again.”

As for Elordi, he appeared more positive in a happy ending between the two. “Yeah, why not? I think so,” he replied, adding, “I reckon, I would say so.”
