Stray Kids Make YouTube Records With ‘Thunderous’, ‘Maknae On Top’, Hyunjin’s AOTM

With their new album ‘NOEASY’ and its title tune, ‘Thunderous,’ Stray Kids are on a roll, and it doesn’t appear that they’ll be slowing down anytime soon.

Despite the fact that the album was published months ago, they continue to reign supreme in the K-pop world. From winning the brutal survival show ‘Kingdom’ to selling a million copies of their album, the boy band is finally getting the acclaim they deserve. They’ve also charted on iTunes and Billboard, both locally and internationally. They’re now breaking YouTube records.

Stays (Stray Kids’ fans) have been well-fed since the band’s return, with nearly every track from ‘NOEASY’ receiving a music video. We’ve also been receiving music videos for the ‘SKZ-Player’ project.

Felix landed solo magazine photoshoots, Hyunjin was named Studio Choom’s ‘Artist of the Month,’ and Seungmin got his first solo song — the OST for the hit K-drama ‘Hometown Cha Cha Cha.’ On top of that, Stray Kids made a comeback in Japan with the single ‘Scars.’

When the ‘Thunderous’ music video surpassed 10.7 million views in the first 24 hours of its release, Stays knew it was going to be a hit. It set a number of personal milestones, including the fastest Stray Kids music video to reach 20 and 30 million views on YouTube.

On October 18, ‘Thunderous’ became the fastest music video by a fourth-generation boy group and the fifth Stray Kids music video to reach 100 million YouTube views, giving the Stays even more reason to celebrate.

While Stays was celebrating the success of ‘Thunderous,’ another music video set a new milestone. I.N’s ‘Maknae On Top,’ featuring Bang Chan and Changbin, has reportedly topped 20 million views. It should be noted that this is the ‘SKZ-Player’ project’s first music video to accomplish this milestone. This achievement is even more remarkable for fans because this is the first music video for the youngest member.

A day after its release, Hyunjin’s already famous rendition of ‘AOTM’ is making waves. On October 16, the Stray Kids member was named Studio Choom’s ‘Artist of the Month,’ and a performance video of Post Malone’s ‘Motley Crew’ was published. In the first 24 hours, it surpassed 2.9 million views, making it the most-watched performance video in the ‘AOTM’ series. On October 18, it surpassed 3.8 million views on YouTube.

To celebrate the accomplishments, fans have used hashtags like ‘AOTM,’ #MaknaeOnTop 20MViews, and #SKZ5TH100MVIEWS.  Stays were touched by Hyunjin’s reaction, “I’m still crying over hyunjin’s reaction to him finding out his AOTM surpassed 2M views, he was quick to thank stays for it.” Another fan posted, “Honestly miss the era where everyone is doing maknae on top edits with their group’s maknaes. the real maknae on top! 20 million!”
