Stranger Things Season 4 Trailer: Eleven Is Kidnapped, and Hopper Returns

In the new Stranger Things season 4 trailer, Eleven is in the hands of the enemy, and Hopper is back with a flame thrower. The long-awaited fourth season of the hit Netflix show has been pushed back several times due to the pandemic.

Production was halted for a month in early 2020 before restarting in late September of that year. Since then, the cast and crew have been hard at work on Stranger Things season 4, teasing the epic scale of the upcoming season and what Eleven and friends can expect when they finally return.

Stranger Things Season 3 premiered in the summer of 2019, with Eleven, Will, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas facing off against the Mind Flayer, culminating in a hard-fought battle at the Starcourt Mall. Hopper, played by David Harbour, appeared to sacrifice himself and die during the battle at the time, but it was later revealed that he was imprisoned in a Russian prison camp.

Meanwhile, Eleven, Will, and the Byers family left Hawkins, Indiana and their friends behind, hoping to say good-by to the traumatic events that had followed them in the small town. That, of course, does not appear to be the case.

The clip includes scenes from the first three seasons of the show as well as a few glimpses of the upcoming season. Eleven is seen in the hands of an unknown foe, while Hopper appears to be on his way to the rescue with a flame thrower.

Steven, Lucas, Max, Dustin, Nancy, and Robin can also be seen together, exploring what appears to be an abandoned house. Finally, a crashed car, cheerleaders, and a group riding their bikes are shown quickly before it is revealed that Stranger Things will return in 2022.

The mysterious image of the grandfather clock, which appears to be in the aforementioned house, possibly in Hawkins, is also thrilling. Stranger Things executive producer Shawn Levy has teased an unnamed location where a major plot of Stranger Things season 4 will take place, so it could be somewhere audiences aren’t expecting.

With the series already heading to Russia and following Eleven and Will wherever they go, the upcoming season appears to be bigger than ever before.
