Stranger Things Season 4 Behind-the-Scenes Photo Shows Hopper as a Russian Prisoner
On the set of Stranger Things season 4, David Harbour gets crazy by posing with an identical Hopper figure dressed in his jail uniform. The wait for new Stranger Things episodes has been significantly longer than expected due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Season 3 began in July 2019, while season 4 was planned to premiere in early 2021. However, the epidemic halted production for much of last year, and development has been slow since then. Stranger Things season 4 is expected to premiere in 2022, according to star Finn Wolfhard, however it remains to be seen if that prediction is right.
Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) had joined the Byers family as they departed Hawkins when Stranger Things last left off. This occurred after her father figure Hopper appeared to have died while attempting to lock the Upside Down gate, but a mid-credits scene revealed that the Hawkins sheriff is still alive. Hopper is being imprisoned in a Russian prison camp, according to an early Stranger Things season 4 teaser, so even if he didn’t die, his prospects are still poor.
Stranger Things season 4 is generating a lot of buzz, but Netflix has yet to announce when it will release. To keep viewers interested, the streamer has released a few teasers, including the initial Hopper footage and a recent mystery glimpse at the Hawkins Lab.
Harbour’s message is a lighthearted update, though it doesn’t reveal how much work remains on the season. Regardless, it’s evident that progress is being made, and it’s a fun reminder of what fans can look forward to when Stranger Things returns.
