Sonu Sood to provide meals for 25,000 migrant workers during Ramzan
After sponsoring meals for 45,000 people in Mumbai suburbs, Sonu Sood is going to provide meals to 25,000 migrant workers during Ramzan!
Just like everyone else, Bollywood actor Sonu Sood too is trying his best to help people during this lockdown. There are many who are left jobless and they don’t have any means to support themselves. The actor has already been sponsoring meals for 45,000 people in Mumbai suburbs. Now he is going to provide meals to 25,000 migrant workers during Ramzan.
A source told Mumbai Mirror, “Someone reached out to Sonu explaining the plight of these migrant workers who hail from states like Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal and are currently stuck in Bhiwadi. He’s set up a few kitchens in the suburb to make and deliver meals to those keeping roza.”
The report also quoted Sonu saying, “I’ve assured them that their requirements for the holy month will be taken care of. In these difficult times, it is important for each one of us to stand up for the other. Through this initiative, we will provide special meal kits so they don’t stay hungry after fasting all day.” The report says that the actor has a target of providing 1.5 lakh meals in all.
For those who don’t know, Sonu had earlier offered his hotel to be used as a quarantine facility. He has also been supporting BMC in feeding 45,000 people in the suburbs of Mumbai.
