However, in an exclusive sneak peek of his interview with Zane Lowe, the singer opened up about the silver lining during those difficult times. He described how the pandemic, the isolation, and the quarantine has been terrifying and hard. But the singer also said that something really beautiful came out of it.

Stillness.” He further revealed that he had been to Miami and was living with Camila Cabello and her parents, sister. The singer shared how he felt panic thinking he is not going to be able to make the album.
He continued, “And then when I started to settle into how nice it is to be in the same place every night, to have a movie time, to cook dinner with the family and to do laundry. I know it sounds really kind of silly but when you’ve been touring the world since you’re 15 years old, like, I don’t remember the last time I smelled laundry. It’s a nice smell. It’s a really calming smell. It feels like growing up.”
“This Is Art. This Is Bigger Than Me.”
Shawn shared how this also allowed him to be creative and start from the beginning of his album. The singer’s upcoming album ‘Wonder’ is his fourth studio album. It is about honest reflections after growing in more ways.
He shared how that stillness also brought a lot of anxiety for him that he had to work through. However, he revealed how on the other side of that was a reflective period for him. The singer said, “on the other side of that was a really reflective period for me where I could be like, ‘Oh this is what I’ve been doing. This is crazy. But this is what I can do. This is art. This is bigger than me.”
Shawn added that it was the first time he had the chance to think about someone more than himself. He talked about how it was the first time he had enough space in his heart and head. The singer shared, “It was the first time I had enough space in my heart and my head that wasn’t so consumed about how many people were caring about what I was doing.”
He further shared how it was the first time he was quiet and could be like, “‘What is happening in this world and how do I feel about it and what can I do and where does this go from here?’” The singer shared how this was the best gift he has ever been given in his whole life.
