Dhadak director Shashank Khaitan deactivates his Twitter account

Bollywood director Shashank Khaitan has deactivated his Twitter account now, calling it a breeding ground for hate and negativity!

In a sudden move, the Bollywood director Shashank Khaitan has deactivated his Twitter account. Before quitting the social media platform, he made a tweet in which he disclosed his reason for deleting his account.

Shashank wrote, “Done with twitter… just a breeding ground for hate and negativity… very sad that a platform so powerful, could not be used to create a better world… praying for peace and love always… deactivating my account now … @Twitterindia.”

Sharing the screenshot on his Instagram account, he informed people about the same, hoping that Twitter can be used for spreading love. He captioned his post as, “Finally deleted my twitter account… I am surely inconsequential, in terms of followers and reach for the platform… but I believe every voice is important… hope such a powerful platform can evolve and reform to spread love and happiness … Praying for a peaceful world always…”

It was a few days back when Shashank had used his social media accounts to make people aware of fake casting calls. In his written note, he had revealed that currently Dharma Production is not casting for the film Mr Lele. And that any person asking money for the same is fake.

Shashank is not the first person to quit Twitter. Earlier also, there have been several celebs who have deactivated their accounts. Recently, it was the former actress Zaira Wasim who had quit the platform. However, she came back on Twitter clarifying that she needed a day of detox.

Meanwhile, Shashank Khaitan has been popular for films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Dhadak. He was going to work on the film Mr Lele with Varun Dhawan. But the film was shelved shortly after it was announced.
