Shah Rukh Khan Scholarship helps Kerala Girl

Shah Rukh Khan is one of the few Bollywood elites who is universally well-known for his charitable character.

However, Doctor Shah Rukh Khan remains to be the only Bollywood celebrity having three Ph.D.’s to his name.

The actor received his first Ph.D. from the University of Bedfordshire in England. The University recognized SRK’s valuable contribution to Arts and Culture.

The 53-year-old actor on top of that a receiver of the honorary doctorate from two other prestigious institutions which include the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom and La Trobe University in Australia.

The University of Edinburgh in 2015, applaud the efforts done by the actor in the field of film and Philanthropic work.

Moreover, last year in august the La Trobe University honored the actor with the doctorate. He is acknowledged for his effort towards underprivileged children and women empowerment.

The University even put out a scholarship called “The Shah Rukh Khan La Trobe University Ph.D. Scholarship.”

At the ceremony hosted in Mumbai, Shah Rukh Khan mentions “I’m a staunch believer in education, and I would like to congratulate Gopika. The way forward for everyone is to educate and there’s never an end to education. He further added, “Empowering and educating women is key and the world goes forward with educating women. I think education in India or anywhere else in the world is a step forward.”

Finally, a young female researcher Gopika Kottantharayil Bhasi from Thrissur, Kerala is the winner.

Gopika beat 800 competitors to secure the four-year Scholarship at La Trobe University.

However, SRK seen assisting the star of the night Gopika Kottantharayi.
