Sets of Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj to be destroyed without completing the shoot

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar‘s period drama Prithviraj has not been completed yet but the makers are taking down the set!

The entertainment industry has been facing huge losses owing to the ongoing lockdown in the nation. From theatrical releases to shoots in the film city, nothing is happening. The producers are now taking down the sets of the film Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar. Apparently the maintenance cost has become too much to bear.

MidDay has quoted a source saying, “The head honchos of Yash Raj Films had kept the set standing over the past two months, hoping that the situation would improve soon. However, with the rains only weeks away, it doesn’t seem feasible to retain the set any longer. The makers are currently procuring necessary permission to have it pulled down. Akshay had filmed a major portion of the Chandraprakash Dwivedi-directed drama at the Dahisar set before the lockdown was announced, but some crucial sequences have yet to be shot.”

The sets included a huge palace and an arena to film an action sequence. According to the source, the shooting once resumed, will happen indoors now.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has recently shot for an awareness campaign with R Balki. The makers had taken all the necessary precautions while shooting.
