Selena Gomez is back with another exciting thing for us. Although HBO Max had already announced her participation for one of their shows, we finally got to see a sneak peek.
The singer gave fans a look inside her kitchen as she hosts her show, Selena and Chef. The video shows Selena in her kitchen following directions from one of the many chefs who will be on the show.
Selena showcases her goofy side as the chef says he is cooking on an electric stove. The singer says she is too soon realising that her stove isn’t electric. Embarrased, she slides down and waves her hand over the counter apologizing.
The cooking series is produced by Selena and was announced back in May. Selena got inspired during her time in quarantine and took up cooking. The ‘Lose You to Love Me’ hitmaker received a gift basket filled with goodies from famous chefs on her birthday. Selena took to Instagram to share the sweet gift that she received. The Instagram account of maxPOP, partnered with HBOMax, shared a sweet clip of Selena unwrapping all the goodies.
Selena Gomez is hosting a cooking show for the network called Selena and Chef. It will be released later this summer. The singer looked excited and happy while unwrapping her food-focused goodies. “Hbd @selenagomez! ???? wishing you a sweet welcome to the @hbomax fam, and can’t wait to binge #SelenaAndChef,” the clip’s caption read.
After she opened all the gifts, she thanked HBOMax for her gifts. The gift basket contained stuff like a loaf of freshly baked bread. Selena saw the bread and said it is her “favorite thing in the world”. She also received pasta, wine, cupcakes, tomato sauce, and more. Nestled among the food items were numerous cookbooks written by celebrity chefs, including Nancy Silverton’s A Twist of the Wrist and Ludo Lefebvre’s LudoBites.
Selena thanked HBO Max and the wonderful chefs for her birthday gifts. She said she is very thankful and she can’t wait to make amazing meals. The singer hopes she can visit them soon.
‘I’ve Answered That It Would Be Fun To Be A Chef’
The network had announced that Gomez will be hosting a cooking show for the platform. HBO Max stated in a press release that despite Gomez’s other talents, it is yet to be determined if cooking is one of them. The singer was seen spending a lot of her quarantine in the kitchen.
“I’ve always been very vocal about my love of food. I think I’ve been asked hundreds of times in interviews if I had another career, what would I do and I’ve answered that it would be fun to be a chef,” the singer said at the time. “I definitely don’t have the formal training though! Like many of us while being home I find myself cooking more and experimenting in the kitchen.”
It will be a 10-episode series and in every episode, she will be joined by a different master chef. Together they will create different cuisines and share tips and tricks for cooking. Each installment will also highlight a food-related charity while embracing the joy and struggle of learning to cook.
Selena recently announced that her beauty line, Rare Beauty will be launched on September 3rd. It has been six months since the singer announced that she will be getting into the beauty world. Since the announcement, it has been a highly anticipated beauty brand.
Selena has made sure to send us a few sneak peeks about what the brand will stand for. She took to her social media handle to announce the launch date for her products. Finally, we will get to use the products that she has made with such a special aim.
Rare Beauty and Selena both made the announcement on Tuesday that the products will launch on September 3rd. The website is updated with the missions and aims of the brand. It has the option to sign up as well so that people can receive more information about the launch.
The products of Rare Beauty will also be available on Sephora. The website of Sephora has been ready for the arrival of the singer’s product for a while now. Sephora has also set up its own sign-up option for Rare Beauty notifications.
