Peaky Blinders, a Netflix and BBC co-production, has five seasons under its belt with a sixth on the way. After a break in production, it was finally started in late 2020, and now season 6 filming has been confirmed. Here’s everything we know about Season 6 of Peaky Blinders on Netflix thus far.

One of Netflix’s best imports continues to be the outstanding British drama. The story is set in Birmingham, England in the 1920s and follows a gangster family. The series premiered on the BBC, although Netflix is the show’s international distributor. Season 5 premiered on Netflix in the United States on October 4th, 2019 and will be available in the United Kingdom on April 22nd.

What will happen in Peaky Blinders Season 6?

“The Shelbys struggle with the 1929 stock market crash, Tommy confronts new threats to his dominance from younger family members and fascist rivals,” according to Season 5, which had six episodes.

After the popular uprisings of Season 5, we were left with a massive cliffhanger. Before cutting to black, Tommy finishes the season screaming at his deceased wife with a revolver pointed at his head. Will Tommy end up committing suicide? His PTSD and a sequence of events are definitely having an effect on him. We should also figure out who betrayed Tommy in the end, although based on the podcast series Obsessed with Peaky Blinders, we should already know who it was.

When will Season 6 of Peaky Blinder be available on Netflix?

According to ProductionWeekly, filming for Season 6 of Peaky Blinders was supposed to begin in February 2020. Filming is expected to resume in Liverpool and Scotland, according to reports. Season 6 will see Steven Knight continuing to write and manage the show, and for the first time, a director will return, with Anthony Byrne rejoining the production.

Fast forward a few months, and the COVID-19 epidemic had a major impact on the film and television industries, including Netflix and BBC’s popular series Peaky Blinders. When everything came to a halt, production was just getting ready to start shooting.

All the major cast members will be returned including Cillian Murphy, Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle, and Finn Cole. Whether the deceased cast members like Annabelle Wallis who plays Grace Shelby will return in any capacity is yet to be seen. Julia Roberts has been mentioned in connection with certain rumoured castings for Season 6. According to DigitialSpy, additional well-known celebrities such as Samuel L. Jackson, Snoop Dogg, and A$AP Rocky have expressed interest in participating.
