Season 6 of Better Call Saul appears to be filming in a key Breaking Bad location.

Better Call Saul’s last season appears to be getting closer to Breaking Bad, with filming taking place in a key site from its predecessor. Filming for the sixth season began in March, and since then, there have been numerous hints from the show’s writers and cast about what will happen.

Due to the character of Jimmy McGill, who fans know as Saul Goodman in the Walter White crime drama, and his road to becoming a “criminal” attorney, this season of Better Call Saul has become synonymous with its relationship to Breaking Bad.

Because Better Call Saul is a prequel to Breaking Bad, fans of the programme get a taste of both past and future universes, with Jimmy’s destruction shown in both seasons. Better Call Saul moves closer to the period of Breaking Bad as it goes through its run, and with a final season of thirteen episodes to tie up a lot of loose ends, it’s almost guaranteed that certain notable places from its predecessor will start to blend in.

According to Snopes, the last season of Better Call Saul was spotted filming at the Crossroads Motel, as proven by Panda Kwiot’s TikTok post. The motel was called “The Crystal Palace” in the early seasons of Breaking Bad because it was filled by drug users and a specific prostitute. The TikTok pic revealed what appeared to be Bob Odenkirk taking a break from filming, dressed in a way that Saul Goodman or Jimmy McGill would never wear.

When Better Call Saul returns in 2022 for its sixth season, it will be fascinating to see the context of that scene. The drama is presently set in 2004, four years before the first episode of Breaking Bad, which means there are many more storylines to be revealed in the final season.

With the Crossroads Motel’s history in the Breaking Bad universe, Jimmy McGill’s presence is ominous, and viewers will have to wait to see what future mischief he pulls and where that leads him.
