Season 2 sneak peeks and a Henry Cavill solo panel are on the WitcherCon schedule

The full agenda for the first-ever WitcherCon, a multi-format event dedicated to The Witcher universe, has been revealed by Netflix and video game developer CD Projekt Red. The Witcher immediately became one of Netflix’s most popular original shows after its premiere in the winter of 2019.

The show features Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), a monster hunter who was altered by magic at an early age, and is based on the book series by Andrzej Sapkowski. Geralt meets recurring characters Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) and Jaskier (Joey Batey) on his journeys, and Geralt will link up with Princess Ciri in Season 2. (Freya Allan).

The Witcher was formerly known as a series of CD Projekt Red role-playing games before Netflix’s blockbuster version. The video game series features three major volumes and three spin-offs, and is known for its mature content. The games have received critical praise as well as economic success, with over 50 million copies sold worldwide. With a second season of The Witcher on the way, Netflix and CD Projekt Red are teaming up for a virtual fan gathering.

Season 2 of The Witcher is in the midst of post-production, with production finishing in early April. While there have been a few glimpses of the forthcoming season, including two 10-second teaser trailers, WitcherCon will have a lot more surprises in store for season 2. Starting July 9, the Witcher universe’s first-ever multi-format event will be available to watch on Twitch and YouTube.
