Sean Borg shines in a purple satin Beatles ensemble at the House of Cardin party

Trivago guy‘ Sean Borg was virtually unrecognizable as he arrived ready to party at the sprawling South Palm Springs home of film producer-director duo Todd Hughes and P. David Ebersole on Saturday night.

The Los Angeles based entertainment celebrity was all smiles as he arrived at the independent filmmakers’ annual bash held at their stunning mid-century modern home in upscale Indian Canyons.

If you’re going to throw a party, you’ve got to show everyone how it’s done! Hughes and Ebersole pulled out all the stops this year and spared no expense that would have seen the likes of Heidi Klum — known for her fabulous costume parties, green with envy!

When it came to their annual festive holiday party — 2019, the kitsch-couple chose “So You Want To Be A Rockstar?” as their theme.

Borg attended dressed as a character from The Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band,’ sporting a silver braided deep purple satin military-style coat, topped with purple-colored spectacles and mustache. He was upstaging his last year’s efforts that saw him dressed as the ‘Pop Art’ artist — Andy Warhol.

Todd Hughes picked Freddie Mercury as his ‘Rock Star’ look, with his partner, P David, dressed as a country and western singer in a sparkling pink sequinned sports jacket, and cowboy hat.

The Palm Springs elite crowd partied away at the fashionable bash on a specially built disco-dance floor that was packed the night through with an array of colorful characters — including producer Kellee McQuinn who “rocked” as the late ‘Roxette’ singer Marie Fredriksson.

This year’s event was even more exceptional than 2018s, with Hughes and Ebersole having much to celebrate. The pair recently put the finishing touches to their critically acclaimed feature documentary — ‘House of Cardin,‘ that is working wonders at festivals already winning several awards.

The film is a rare peek into the mind of a genius, an authorized feature documentary chronicling the life and design of Cardin.

House of Cardin is also one of the official selections at the Palm Springs International Film Festival with screenings on Jan. 6 and Jan. 9. The event runs between Jan. 2–13, 2020. For information, visit PSFilmFest.org.
