Riteish Deshmukh ready to take on the role Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
Actor Riteish Deshmukh began shooting for his upcoming trilogy on Maratha Warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Riteish is excited about this new passion project.
The actor announced his dream project back in 2015. While talking to media Riteish revealed “I’ve been wanting to make this film for a long time. I’m extremely excited to collaborate with Nagraj, who is one of the finest directors that we have in the country. We are working hard. Hopefully, it’ll be on floors soon.” The film will release next year in 2021.
The speculations are rife about Riteish playing the lead role in the biopic of the Maratha Warrior. Especially after a picture of the Ek Villain actor in full Maratha Warrior attire.

The 41-year-old actor is currently promoting his upcoming movie ‘Baaghi 3‘ alongside Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor. The movie is hitting the theaters this month on the 6th of March.
Besides, Riteish is trying his best to use the current success run to promote his upcoming historical trilogy. Riteish revealed,” the success of any film is concerned, I feel it definitely adds to other films because it gives a boost to historical films or films in general for people to go to the theatre and come and experience it on the big screen.”
Historical drama like Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior crossed the 250 Crore mark. The movie is a star-studded affair with actors like Saif Ali Khan, Kajol, Sharad Kelkar featuring alongside Ajay Devgn.
