Red Notice surpasses Bird Box as Netflix’s all-time most-watched film
In just two weeks, the action-comedy Red Notice has become Netflix’s most popular film.
Red Notice stars Ryan Reynolds, The Rock, and Gal Gadot in a global adventure in which an FBI profiler hires the world’s second most-wanted art thief to assist him in catching the world’s most-wanted art thief.
Rawson Marshall Thurber, who previously worked with The Rock on Central Intelligence and Skyscraper, directed the film. Chris Diamantopoulos and Ritu Arya also star in Red Notice.
Netflix’s all-time most-watched film
Red Notice was released on Netflix on November 12 after a one-week limited theatrical run, which qualifies the picture for an Oscar consideration, however unlikely it may be. Its theatrical run was a total disaster. In the face of competition from Marvel’s Eternals, it earned a box office total of under $1 million, which Netflix has declined to reveal. When the film was released on Netflix, however, it had none of these issues and immediately rose to the top of the charts on its first day.
The Rock shared a clip from the film on Instagram, showing him and Ryan Reynolds trading jabs in a Russian prison cafeteria. Red Notice is now “THE BIGGEST MOVIE IN THE HISTORY OF NETFLIX!!!” according to the caption on the post. Not only has it topped the weekly charts in just two weeks, but it has also soared to become Netflix’s #1 feature film of all time.
Take a look at the following article:
Now that Red Notice has climbed to the top, it has pushed Bird Box, a post-apocalyptic thriller, to second place. Bird Box has been at the top of the ratings since its showy opening week, consuming viewers throughout Christmas and New Year’s in 2018 thanks to its viral success.
Extraction, The Irishman, The Kissing Booth 2, 6 Underground, Spenser Confidential, Enola Holmes, Army of the Dead, and The Old Guard are among the films on the list, which also includes Extraction, The Irishman, The Kissing Booth 2, 6 Underground, Spenser Confidential, Enola Holmes, Army of the Dead, and The Old Guard.
