Priyanka Chopra – Rise To Fame
Priyanka Chopra is one person who started off her career in India. But now she has become an international star. She is known around the world for her work and her reach has gone to the global space. However, her journey has not been easy. Coming from the small town of Bareilly, she has surely come a long way.
The actress was born into a family of doctors serving the Indian Army. Therefore, she had to move around a lot with her family owing to her father’s posting. Priyanka completed her high school education in America and it was one of her toughest days.
Education
While attending school in Newton, Massachusetts, she was bullied by the other school kids. They laughed at her because of her ethnicity, calling her names. She was even jumped by two girls in her class. During an earlier interview, PeeCee herself had revealed how those days broke her spirit and she started questioning herself.
She later moved back to India which was when she regained her strength. Her father was very strict as a person who had even put bars on her windows to keep the guys away.

Femina Miss India World
Her career began when she won the title of Femina Miss India World back in the year 2000. She later brought home the title of Miss World. It gained her name and fame after which she started getting offers from the film industry. The actress got her to break in Bollywood with the 2003 film The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. She played a supporting role for which she won the Stardust Award.
It was with 2004 film Aitraaz alongside Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan that Priyanka established herself as a talented actress. Since then she has given several memorable roles in films like Barfi, Fashion, Anjaana Anjaani, Don 2, Mary Kom, and Dil Dhadakne Do.
Priyanka’s international career began with the role of Alex Parrish in the American thriller drama Quantico. And since then, she has been climbing the ladder of name and fame in the global world. From appearing in Hollywood films like Baywatch and Isn’t It Romantic to attending International events like MET Gala, the actress has set her foot firm in the foreign industry.
She has been the winner of the Mother Teresa Memorial Award and Padma Shree Award. She’s the first Indian actress to cross the US stardom, the first Indian to receive a Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award, the first Indian woman to cover US Vogue, the first South Asian actress to win a People’s Choice Award and the first Indian female to cross 50 Million followers on Instagram. PC is also the first Indian to be amongst the highest-paid TV actress in Forbes’ list, the first Indian to host the MET Gala and to get honored at FIFM.
The pretty lady is not just a fabulous actress but also a proud producer. With her production company Purple Pebble Pictures, she has been trying to bring out new talent and a different cinema.
A doting daughter, a supporting sister, an adorable wife, a talented actress, and above all a philanthropist, Priyanka has tried to use her stardom for the good. She is our desi girl who has made India proud in the international industry!
