
Prince to get all star tribute from John Legend, Alicia Keys, Usher, Chris Martin and others
The Purple one, legendary musician Prince will likely be getting an all-star tribute and the artists for the live performance have been introduced. Two days after Grammys 2020, the Recording Academy will host a tribute for the late singer at Los Angeles Conference Heart on Tuesday, January, 28.
The live performance titled Let’s Go Loopy: The Grammy Salute to Prince, the occasion will see joint performances from Prince’s pals and collaborators together with his band The Revolution, Sheila E. and Morris Day and the Time, Prince’s funk band. Sheila may also function co-musical director with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for the live performance.
The artists introduced for the tribute performances embrace John Legend, Alicia Keys, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Juanes, Usher, Foo Fighters, H.E.R., Gary Clark Jr., St. Vincent, Frequent, Earth, Wind & Fireplace, Mavis Staples, and Susanna Hoffs.

His Royal Badness — no matter the way you determine him, he’s indisputably one of many best musical virtuosos of all time,” Deborah Dugan, president, and CEO of the Recording Academy stated in an announcement to Leisure Weekly. “Together with his subversive angle and commanding nature, he straddled musical genres and created electrifying music that was bursting with character. He continues to function an inspirational icon for artists and followers worldwide, and we’re so honored to pay tribute to his legacy at this yr’s post-Grammys particular.”
The Grammys will likely be going down on January 27, 2020.
