Pregnant Chelsea Houska Reveals the Gender of Her Fourth Child on the Way
It’s a good thing Teen Mom 2 stars Chelsea Houska and husband, Cole DeBoer are building a massive dream home, because their family is growing. After announcing on Aug. 5 that the 28-year-old is pregnant with baby number four, she and her husband revealed they are expecting a daughter in an adorable gender reveal.
Houska took to Instagram to share the exciting news. She captioned the snapshot of her, Cole and their little ones launching a confetti cannon into the sky, writing.”Baby GIRL!!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ so in love!”
The couple is photographed standing in front of their dream home that has been under construction since April earlier this year. The pair has been documenting the construction of the farmhouse-style spread on their Instagram page, @downhomedeboers. And by the looks of it, at this rate all of the kids are going to have their own bedroom, including the new baby.
The Pregnancy Announcement
The child will be the third for the pair, who are already proud parents to 1-year-old daughter Layne and 3-year-old son Watson. Houska also shares daughter Aubree with ex-boyfriend, Adam Lind. Although she and Cole are raising the 10-year-old together. This time around, Chelsea won’t be spending her birthday delivering a baby, as her new bundle of joy is due in early 2021.
The couple announced the pregnancy on Wednesday, sharing a picture of the names Cole, Chelsea, Aubree, Watson and Layne written on a piece of wood. And alongside they’ve added the word “Baby” as a reference to the family’s newest addition.
“One more DeBoer! Coming early 2021 ????” Houska wrote in the caption, while DeBoer added on his account, “The Grand Finale! (We Think ????) Baby #4.” On their home building Instagram page, Chelsea added, “When we were writing blessings on the house before the drywall went up, we wrote all our names and couldn’t leave out the new babe. So glad Cole got this photo! Our whole family. Newest DeBoer coming 2021.”
“This is the first day that I don’t feel like I’m dying”
Houska’s pregnancy comes after she revealed she had been suffering from mastitis following the birth of her youngest, Layne. The reality star, who welcomed Layne on her 27th birthday, opened up about the painful infection on Twitter in 2018. “This is the first day that I don’t feel like I’m dying. I never knew how horrible mastitis was,” she wrote. “Aaaand I never want to go through it again.”
According to Mayo Clinic, “Mastitis is an inflammation of breast tissue that sometimes involves an infection. The inflammation results in breast pain, swelling, warmth and redness. You could also experience fever and chills. Mastitis most commonly affects women who are breast-feeding. However, mastitis can also occur in women who aren’t breast-feeding and in men,” Mayo Clinic explains. “Lactation mastitis can cause you to feel run down, making it difficult to care for your baby.”
Despite struggling with the infection, Layne’s arrival was a happy and celebratory occasion. Houska announced her baby’s birth with a sweet picture of the newborn with the caption, “Happy birthday to YOU, sweet baby Layne ????.”
Her husband also shared the same photo of their bundle of joy, writing, “Happy birthday to my sweet perfect wife Chelsea DeBoer @chelseahouska who just gave our family this beautiful blessing! Sharing the same amazing day I am so in love with our family! Our newest edition Baby Layne!! ❤️❤️”
Teen Mom 2 updates
Fans will get a new look at life at home for Chelsea and her growing family when the latest season of Teen Mom 2 premieres next week. A trailer shows Chelsea navigating what she calls a “sh–ty” situation for daughter Aubree regarding her custody agreement.
“I definitely have my own opinion and my own opinion on things, but I have to try my best not to put my feelings out on her,” Chelsea spoke in an interview reflecting on past Teen Mom episodes. Involving Adam’s inability to meet with his daughter. “He’s still her dad. She still has her own feelings about it so I kind of have to keep my feelings to myself and let her have her own little opinion.” Teen Mom 2 returns Sept. 1 at 8 p.m. on MTV.
