The extremely popular 2012 film Oh My God is scheduled to go on floors after being in the headlines for its sequel. According to a recent rumour in Bollywood Hungama, Akshay Kumar will reprise his role as Lord Krishna in the film’s sequel. However, Paresh Rawal would not be part of the project this time, with Pankaj Tripathi taking the lead.
The film’s female lead is Yami Gautam, and the cast has begun filming. Oh My God 2 will begin filming on Thursday in Mumbai, according to a source.
Akshay Will Join In October
“Today, director Amit Rai and Pankaj Tripathi begin filming for the ambitious social comedy in Mumbai. Over the next three days, the actor will tape his solo scenes before being joined by Yami Gautam, who plays the female lead. In October, Akshay Kumar will begin his work “Bollywood Hungama heard from a source.
When Akshay joins the cast in October, he’ll be shooting for about 15 to 20 days for his Lord Krishna track. Ashwin Varde and Akshay Kumar are producing the drama.
According to the source, “They are aware of Oh My God’s cult following and have been working over the past decade to perfect the script in order to move the plot ahead. They agreed to a sequel only when they were sure that the script was better than the original. The audience will be surprised by the treatment and theme.”
We can’t wait to see Pankaj Tripathi’s magic develop on the big screen.
