One Piece Creator Hints At Luffy’s Adventure Nearing Completion

The creator of the manga One Piece, Eiichiro Oda has revealed that Luffy’s adventure could be coming to an end very soon. The character has been striving to be the Pirate King for 24 years. And after all this time, his search might finally get him the results.

One Piece had begun publishing back in 1997 in Weekly Shonen Jump. The manga has since then hit milestones like being the best-selling series in history. It has also managed to set Guinness World Records, broken publishing records and is the most popular manga and anime franchise in the world.

However, the character has not met his goals of finding the One Piece and becoming the Pirate King yet. This could be changing as per a newspaper ad that includes the creator and an important phrase. Three of Japan’s major newspapers ran an ad including Eiichiro as per Japanese entertainment site natalie.

Mainichi Shimbun, Yomiuri Shimbun and Asahi Shimbun put up an ad that sees the creator drawing One Piece. In the ad, the tagline reads, “The story is in its final stage”. Initially, One Piece was set out to run for five years but that turned into 24 years and counting. The ad revealed that this will be the one-hundredth volume in the series but it will be the end of the popular manga.

One Piece has an important year ahead as it will be its 100th volume, 1000th chapter and the anime will hit episode 1000 soon. This does seem hard to believe that there will be a conclusion as it has achieved so many milestones and success and the series has also extended itself.

But a story is only as good as the hero’s journey results in by the end. This could mean the character should accept nothing less but the best as his story ends soon. The conclusion of the series will be bittersweet and mark the end of an era. Fans have enjoyed a good ride with the crew over the last two decades. However, as there has been no official announcement about the conclusion date, fans can expect more adventures until that happens.
