Netflix To Release Animated Miniseries ‘Maya And The Three’ By The End Of 2021

Netflix’s animated content has been getting finer as time passes, just like red wine! The most recent addition to Netflix’s animated miniseries library is Maya And The Three.

What is this animated series about? When will it release on Netflix and how many episodes will it run for? Who are the cast members? Here’s everything you need to know.

Story Line

Talking about the story line, Maya And The Three is a mixture of Aztec, Maya, and Inca mythology, alongside modern-day Caribbean culture. It directed by Jorge R. Guitérrez.

The story is based in a fantasy land / magic world. Maya is warrior princess who plans to celebrate her fifteenth birthday and coronation but the little princess is taken for a surprise ride when it is revealed that Maya’s life is forfeit to the God of War a price she must pay for her family’s secret past.

As per the the official synopsis revealed by Netflix, we learn that “If Maya refuses, the whole world will suffer the gods’ vengeance. To save her beloved family, her friends, and her own life, Maya embarks on a thrilling quest to fulfill an ancient prophecy that foretells the coming of three great warriors who will help her defeat the gods and save humankind.”

Total Episode Count

The animated series will feature well-known celebrity voices. The miniseries will run for nine episodes in total. Each episode might last around half an hour (no confirmation has come so far).

Talking about the release date of Maya and the Three, there has been no official announcement so far from Netflix. However, one thing thats for sure is that the series will arrive before the year ends (by fall of 2021).
