
Netflix Renews DC Series ‘Sweet Tooth’ For Season 2
Netflix has officially renewed Sweet Tooth, a DC family adventure series produced by Robert Downy Jr. for season II. Fan are beyond elated with the news and want to know everything they possibly can. Here’s what we know so far about the second season of the show.
Sweet Tooth is based on Jeff Lemire’s comedy book, it was developed by Jim Mickle and was released on Netflix on June 4, 2021 for the first time. It comes from Warner Brothers Television, DC Entertainment, and Team Downey.
Storyline
Sweet Tooth is an interesting series which is based in a post-apocalyptic era in which a virus is eradicating most people in the world. This period will also see the birth of hybrid children.
Sweet Tooth story focuses on Gus, a young boy who is half human and half animal (deer) living with his father away from the city life.
Sweet Tooth features Nonso Anozie, Christian Convery, Adeel Akhtar and Stefania LaVie Owen in pivotal roles.
Season One Of Sweet Tooth
The top 10s often show how well the show has performed previously on Netflix.
As per data from FlixPatrol, it suggests that Sweet Tooth was well received and was popular in almost every region of Netflix.
In the United States, the show was in the top 10s for about 30 days. In the UK, it was in the top 10s list for around 32 days. In fact, in almost every Netflix region FlixPatrol reviewers suggested that the show was really famous.
The show also did well by earning 7.4 user points from Metacritic and 78 from critics. IMDb ratings of the show stand at 7.9.
Season 2 Renewal
Sweet Tooth has made it official that it has been given the green light from Netflix. It confirmed that the second season has been officially renewed. Renew date was July 29, 2021.
There have been a lot of rumors floating around since the show’s release, but now it’s official.
Some were expecting Netflix to announce season 2 on Geeked Week however, nothing of such sort happened and only bloopers were released that week.
Season 2 will feature eight eight-hour episodes.
The announcement saw many members of the cast and some selected venues (not us – sad faces) received chocolate and news.

Next to the chocolate bar came a note: “To a very special fan of a very special show. You’re amongst the very first to hear that Sweet Tooth has been renewed for Season 2.”.
