MrBeast Receives Backlash For Spending $3.5 Million On Recreating Squid Game

Recently, MrBeast also revealed that he has donated 1,000,000 meals to date free of charge. The YouTuber was amongst the flurry of content creators who decided to recreate the famous Netflix dystopian style show ‘Squid Game’.

Squid Game rose to popularity among the netizens for it’s uncanny plot and a storyline that hooks the audience. The internet was bustling with recreation videos, clips, and ideas about the show. Amidst this, MrBeast also promised his fans to create the biggest recreation of Squid Game.

He had shared some pictures of the Squid Game recreation set recently and also revealed the total cost that he incurred in creating the set.

But guess what? The Internet doesn’t seem happy about MrBeast’s decision to recreate the Squid Game set. Comments of users highlight their unhappiness with the recreation.

“There is no part of me that understands this. They’re children’s games,” they said. “They’re based on real games children play. You can just play them, why do so many people think “Squid Game in real life” is cool?”

“Doesn’t even look good,” they commented. “It’s like a 20-foot paint job, most of the more intricate visual details are missing, especially in the alleyway set.”

The YouTuber has launched a new project by the name of ‘TeamSeas’. The project aims to clean the oceans, 30 million pounds of waste in particular.

MrBeast has been talking about his latest endeavor a lot, be it asking Jake Paul to donate to his cause or appearing at the Jimmy Kemmel Live Show, he has done it all.

The TeamSeas project raised over $10 million within few days from the launch and continue to gain traction each passing day. The cause is a noble one and MrBeast is confident that they can achieve the goal if the support continues.
