Marvel VP Confirms Hawkeye & Ms Marvel Will Premiere Before The End of 2021

Victoria Alonso has confirmed that Hawkeye and Ms Marvel will be premiering on Disney+ sooner than we expected. She shared that it will be here before the end of 2021. Marvel Studios has already jumped ahead to kick off Phase 4 of the MCU back in January with WandaVision.

Their first series earned them multiple Emmy nominations and right after WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier premiered. The latest we saw was Loki premiering in June. Now Loki was an important aspect of the MCU for setting up the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After Loki, we will see the Disney+ series, What If…? which is set to premiere on August 11 with a series of ten episodes. There are a number of films also lined up with Black Widow, which was released this month, Shang Chi in September, Eternals in November and Spider-Man: No Way Home in December. This year is filled with MCU stories and this makes 2020, the first year with no Marvel content since 2009.

Ms Marvel and Hawkeye were both announced for late 2021 premieres, however, with so many Marvel ventures lined up, fans were wondering if one or both might get pushed back. But now, we have found out that both will arrive on schedule.

According to Variety, Victoria Alonso, Marvel Studios Executive Vice President of Film Production, confirmed the news. She did not give the exact date and time but she confirmed that both the ventures will arrive sometime in 2021. With What If…? releasing in August, there are four months left in the year for the series to drop.

Ten Marvel Stories This Year for Marvel Fans

We also do not know which of these shows will premiere first, however, conventional wisdom suggests that Hawkeye is just wrapping filming, and this puts Ms Marvel ahead. Ms Marvel includes a scene with Halloween, which means the series could premiere after What If…? ends in October. After running that for six weeks, we will then be well into November which means that Eternals will be in theatres.

Victoria also revealed that they would premiere in 2021 but will not end by then. This could mean one of the series will be premiering through December and January. And by this, Eternals will be taking the spotlight in November and the marketing for the highly anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home can take center stage.

The addition of Hawkeye and Ms Marvel to Disney+ in 2021 means audiences will have watched six MCU series and ten overall MCU stories.
