‘Lucifer’ Season 5 Part 2: Netflix Release Date, Trailer & What to Expect
Lucifer, as you’re probably aware, has become one of Netflix’s most successful Original series after being picked up from Fox following its ignominious exit. Since season three, Netflix has been in charge of production, with season 4 premiering on May 8th, 2019 and the most recent season premiering on August 21st, 2020.
Season 5 of Lucifer has already gotten a lot of attention, including a full soundtrack guide for the new season. We also announced that Lucifer was Netflix’s biggest TV debut since the top 10 feature was introduced globally in early 2020. Neilsen’s viewing figures reflected this as well.
Season 5B be available on Netflix?
We could have waited even longer than we would have hoped for season 5 part 2 after a lengthy development phase (thanks to COVID-19 – more on that below). We now know that Lucifer season 5b will be released on Netflix worldwide on May 28th, 2021, thanks to an update on the Lucifer Netflix website and a global announcement.
Development had moved to Season 6 of Lucifer, which is being shot back-to-back as of October 2020. That means the show is currently in post-production, as announced at the Baltimore Comic-Con live event on October 25th.
When asked about post-production, Joe Henderson said, “It’s coming along nicely.” He also confirmed that post-production on all episodes up to Season 5 Episode 16 is complete, with only the finale remaining. He also claims that 516 would take longer due to the episode’s size, claiming that it is “very costly.”He also claims that a large part of the wait now is for Netflix to clean up their act in terms of localization and marketing materials, among other items.
Of course, the main character who first appeared at the end of episode eight will return in the second half. We’re talking about Dennis Haysbert, who plays God, and whose inclusion in the series was revealed in January 2020.Alison McAtee, who is best known for her roles on OWN’s The Haves and the Have Nots and Californication, was cast as Elizabeth Newman in episode 14 in May 2020.
