Loki is the most-watched Disney+ premiere of all time

Loki has been called Disney+’s biggest premiere to yet. Disney+ debuted in late 2019 with the promise of becoming the ideal home for Star Wars and Marvel brands. High-profile shows like The Mandalorian and WandaVision have debuted on the streaming service since its start, with several more on the way.

Loki, which debuted last week after much anticipation, is the most recent project to emerge from the MCU as it reaches Phase 4 of development. The series has already received a lot of positive feedback after only one episode.

Loki stars Tom Hiddleston as the titular trickster, who is making his first appearance in front of the camera. Rather than focusing on Loki’s path from Thor to his death in Avengers: Infinity War, the show picks up with the Loki from 2012, who escaped with the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame.

His interference with the past lands him in hot water with the Time Variance Authority, a group charged with preventing the formation of a multiverse. The God of Mischief will partner up with TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) to track down a deadly time-hopping version, as shown in the first episode of Loki.

Loki’s Biggest Score

Last week, it was reported that Loki had the most viewers of any Marvel Disney+ show, but it’s now evident that the show’s popularity extends beyond that. During their runs, WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier dominated the service, and Loki has only added to that fanbase.

On paper, each Marvel show appears to be building on the last one, which promises well for the many more to come. It’s also worth remembering that Loki is a fan favourite character who has lived for as long as he has because to the support of the fans. There was a strong desire to see a production based on him.
