Lili Reinhart Opens Up About Her Mental Health Amid the Pandemic

Lili Reinhart has opened up about the pandemic’s impact on her mental health. The Riverdale actress has been suffering from anxiety amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Lili has always been open about her struggle with mental health in the past. She reveals that the pandemic has exacerbated her struggles. The actress says she has been stressing herself out about simples tasks like going out to the post office.

She said she stresses out about going out because she doesn’t want to drive there and leave her dog at home. ‘I stress myself out all the time. Going to the post office … I really don’t want to drive to the post office. It gives me anxiety because I don’t want to leave my dog, I don’t want to have to deal with going out in public,’ she said.

Lili also revealed how wearing a mask also stresses her out when entering shops. Although she assures she is happy to wear one. She revealed that she does not want to deal with the mask thing. The actress says she hypes herself up about dumb things.

Lili has been struggling with anxiety since she was in school. She has been getting panic attacks since she was 13. The actress revealed her struggle while talking to self-help author Sylvester McNutt on Instagram. She said she struggled with it in school and at that point, she had no choice. The actress said, “I started getting panic attacks when I was in 8th grade so I think I was thirteen and every day in my 8th grade year I would cry in the morning.”

The author suggested Lili listen to a happy playlist when she is carrying out stressful tasks. This will distract her from her fears and enable her to retrain her brain into feeling calm during such situations. She has also been open about her struggle from depression. Lili said she has been affected by depression in so many ways.

The actress credited therapy trips with helping to tackle her problems head-on. She opens up about her struggle with depression as well. Lili says depression is something that never goes away. She reveals she feels completely demotivated and keeps questioning herself.

Lili said: ‘Depression has affected me in so many ways. It’s something that never goes away. I’ve experienced depression and anxiety. Not constantly, but I’m still experiencing it. I have spells of time where I feel completely unmotivated, I don’t want to do anything and I question myself. I don’t know how to handle stress very well.

The actress further said seeing a therapist allowed her to be understood. She says her goal has always been to feeling a couple of inches taller after leaving therapy. Lili explains, “Seeing the therapist allowed me to be understood. The goal for me has been to always leave therapy feeling a couple of inches taller. Feeling like I’ve alleviated myself of a problem by learning how to solve it.”

She continues saying that not everything has a straight answer but she likes to think she has grown. Lili tries to put whatever she learns into action. The actress says that is how she approaches to therapy and says she is not crazy or problematic. The actress further said, “I am just a human who’s feeling something in a different way than some other people would.”
