Lili Reinhart Apologizes for Sharing Topless Photo

Lili Reinhart apologized for posting her topless picture on Instagram captioning it in a way to draw attention to Breonna Taylor’s case.

The Riverdale fame actress tried to keep the attention on Breonna Taylor’s case. She is one of the many celebrities who are being vocal about the case and asking for help.

Breonna Taylor was shot eight times by the police who raided her house. In Lili’s original post she captioned it writing now that her sideboob has got the attention, Taylor’s murderers haven’t been arrested. ‘Now that my sideboob has gotten your attention, Breonna Taylor’s murderers have not been arrested. Demand justice.’

In the picture, Lili was topless posing at a California lake. The post has since been deleted. She took to Twitter to apologize for the way she tried to bring attention to Taylor’s case.

Lili wrote that she has always tried to use her platform for the good. She admitted that she made a mistake with the caption and clarified that her intent was not to hurt anybody. Lili apologized to people who were offended. ‘I’ve always tried to use my platform for good. And speak up about things that are important to me,’ she began.

‘I also can admit when I make a mistake and I made a mistake with my caption. It was never my intent to insult anyone and I’m truly sorry to those that were offended.’

She continued explaining that she has been very honest in her IGTV lives. Lili admits that she still has to learn and she is trying to be better. She wrote that she understands her caption came out as tone-deaf. Lili explained that she had good intentions and had no idea it would come off as insensitive.

Lili was quite recently accused of sexual harassment by an anonymous user on Twitter. She was accused of sexual assault and so were her other castmates Cole Sprouse, KJ Apa, and Vanessa Morgan.

A user account named @Victori66680029 accused Cole Sprouse of sexual assault. She wrote in her tweet that Cole forced himself on her after flirting with her one evening. The user claims it happened at a party in 2013, while she was a student. She continued saying that she left and took a shower. And she claims she did not say anything because nobody would believe her “over a rich Disney star.”

Cole Sprouse took to Twitter later that day and denied the allegations. He wrote that three other castmates and himself were all falsely accused of sexual offense by anonymous accounts on Twitter. Cole assured that he will work with his team to get to the root of it as he takes these allegations very seriously.

An anonymous user account named @Tasha93948576 made the same accusations on Lili Reinhart, the same day. Lili quote-tweeted a tweet by Cole and denied the allegations. She clarified that she takes sexual assault allegations very seriously. But she also clarified that those accounts were specifically created to create false stories.

Lili continued saying she cannot think of something more twisted than this. She explained that it invalidates the men and women who have gone through this and are brave enough to come forward.

She added: ‘This kind of lie can ruin lives and careers- and I can call it a lie because the person who made the allegations already admitted that the stories were fabricated’. Lili further explained that she will be taking legal action. She says this kind of behavior harms true survivors. Lili admits to this being triggering and scary for her. She claims to support survivors and believe them.

She noted further: ‘I hope and pray that this does not discourage real survivors from speaking out about their experiences.’

Another anonymous account @Alison41740595 made sexual assault allegations on Vanessa Morgan and KJ Apa on the same day as well.

Although Twitter screenshots of a fan account claim that @Tasha93948576 admitted that she is falsely accusing Lili, to prove how easy it is to lie.

The anonymous account @Tasha93948576 has since been deleted. The other account @Alison41740595 which accused Vanessa and KJ has been suspended.
