Lana Del Rey sent all her love to her fans this Thanksgiving. The singer took to her social media to send her regards to her fans, friends and few family members in particular after the death of one of her cousins.
She wished her fans a happy Thanksgiving and hoped that everyone is able to have some fun. The singer said, “Hi guys, happy Thanksgiving. I hope that you guys are all able to have some fun moments today with everybody that you can, and at least see your family on Zoom. And I especially wanted to send our love and prayers to my cousins.”
Her cousin, Peter passed away after a battle with cancer recently. She also said the wishes are for people who can’t be where they want to be. The singer assured she is with them and hoped that they are able to have some traditions left. She said, “I hope that you’re able to have some traditions left, like see the Macy’s Day Parade, or silly things like that that make everything feel a bit more normal,”
Lana further added, “So, sending you so much love and happy Thanksgiving.” The singer is also one of the many celebrities who are trying to find their balance amid the coronavirus pandemic. She had recently received backlash for wearing a mesh mask to a book signing event.
However, she claimed that the mask had plastic sewn on the inside. The singer informed her fans that it is commonly sewn in by stylists these days. She shared how she does not generally respond to articles because she does not care.
Lana Faces Backlash For Wearing Mesh Mask
Lana thanked her team as she deemed herself as lucky to have a team of people who do that. She said, “I don’t generally respond to articles because I don’t care. But there ya go. The same goes for everyone’s masks in my video. I’m lucky enough to have a team of people who can do that.”
The article the singer responded to also accused her of supporting Donald Trump. It also suggested that she glamourizes toxic relationships in her songs. Lana also responded to that criticism and shared that it is nobody’s business but people know who she voted for.
The singer cleared that she does not glamourizes toxic relationships and said that relationships can only be tough. She said, “Every other singer sings about the same d*mn thing. Always have, Probably always will. Thanks stay tuned.”
She faced tremendous backlash for her mesh face mask as fans were furious by her choice. Many called the choice ‘irresponsible’ as they pointed out that she was in danger to herself and others. The singer’s sister came to her defense as she responded to the backlash saying she was six feet away and tested negative before the event.
Taking to Twitter to share their anger, one person said: “I can’t believe Lana is actually wearing this mask to…..socially interact with people..this is so irresponsible.” A different fan put: “Why is she at an event with a bunch of people wearing a mesh mask??? I love Lana but this is incredibly irresponsible.”
