Kriti Sanon speaks about nepotism, reveals how she was replaced by a starkid
Bollywood actor Kriti Sanon is an outsider but she has made a mark in the industry with her performances!
The debate of nepotism is a never ending one. Every now and then, someone speaks about it. This time it is the actress Kriti Sanon who has talked about the pros and cons of being an outsider in Bollywood industry.
Talking to Pinkvilla, she explained how she would not have to reach out filmmakers if she had been from a film family. But she believes that after a while, only your work speaks. “It probably takes way longer or more number of hit films and performances to sort of get there,” she said.
When asked if she has ever been replaces by a star kid, she confirmed and said, “I don’t know if they dialed the phone or not, but someone who was from a film family, or there was a little more buzz about that person, had replaced me. So yes, it’s happened but I don’t know the reason behind it. The director might have genuinely wanted that person. It has happened a few times.”
According to Kriti, everyone has their own share of successes or failures and everything happens for a reason. “Sometimes, I didn’t get a film I really wanted to do and then, it hasn’t worked as well. So maybe, some of it was for good,” said the actress.
Kriti Sanon will be next seen in the film Mimi in which she plays the role of a surrogate mother.
