The second season for Criminal has announced it’s guest stars as well as giving us a sneak peek. The new episodes will be featuring Game of Thrones star, Kit Harington.
The new season will also include stars like Catastrophe star Sharon Horgan, The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar, and British acting legend Sophie Okonedo. The second season also has a tagline which says: “Four new cases, four new suspects, one room that changes everything. Every suspect has a story.”
Not only that, but we also got to see posters of the guest stars that are going to make an appearance in the second season. Along with it the network also released the trailer. However, this season consists of a fourth episode, unlike the last season.
The series will also feature former Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly return as cold Detective Inspector Natalie Hobbs. Along with the actor returning for the second run, Lee Ingleby will also be back as Detective Inspector Tony Myerscough.
The series will continue to have appearances from Rochenda Sandall as Detective Constable Vanessa Warren and Shubham Saraf as Detective Constable Kyle Petit. The first season for Criminal was released last year and it included editions from France, Spain, and Germany.
Each episode is set in the claustrophobic environment of the suspect interview room. Along with that will be a connecting observation room where the detectives prepare their approach with each suspect.
It is the first major role for Kit Harington after he left the role of Jon Snow when Game of Thrones ended last year. He was a part of the series for all of its eight seasons donning long locks. However, now he is seen sporting much shorter locks for the part.
Although luckily for the fans of Jon Snow or Kit, he has entered the universe of Marvel. He will be playing one of the superheroes in Marvel’s Eternals which was originally going to release next year. But the coronavirus pandemic might have shifted the dates.
Kit will play the role of Dane Whitman aka Black Knight, a sword-wielding warrior clad in black. The role sounds a little familiar to his character of Game of Thrones.
Other guest stars like Kunal from Big Bang Theory has changed his acting preferences. He was a part of the series for several years together. While Sharon Horgan will flex her tense muscles away from comedy. Sophie Okonedo is also expected to perform in another Netflix show later this month opposite Sarah Paulson in the new horror-drama Ratched.
The second season of Criminal will be released on September 16, 2020 only on Netflix.
